GETTING HITCHED IN ESSEX

Now this wasn’t easy, but we’ve managed to shortlist a few of our favourite venues to get hitched at in Essex, with a little reason for each!

When choosing your venue, it is super important to take everything into consideration, not just the initial beauty, and we’ve made sure to do that for you with these choices. So we’ve narrowed down gorgeous places based on; the food, the staff, the grounds, the management, and everything in-between.

QUENDON HALL

Quendon is a really special place for us. Being just a few miles down the road from the studio, it has become our ‘local’ - how lucky are we? It really is a privilege to have such a stunning place to recommend to couples right on our very own doorstep, and we love every minute we spend here. The photo opportunities around the grounds are incredible; you can do as little or as much as you like without having to venture for miles. There’s also so much room to play with, so if you have large numbers they can accommodate really well for you, but everything can be altered for smaller ceremonies/receptions too.

The fountain… The deer… The drawing room… Need I say more?

CRONDON PARK

We fell in love with Crondon when we walked into that barn back in 2019. If you are looking for a laid-back, modern, yet beautifully rustic wedding, you must get yourself down to Crondon.

Believe it or not, the stunning barn that is photographed here is actually situated within a golf course…so when we talk about grounds, they’ve definitely got that covered; views, lakes and endless greenery. One of our favourite spots is the bridal suite, it is simply stunning and we love the endless opportunities it offers for bridal portraits, bridesmaid photos and the all important dress reveal.

I’d also be lying if I didn’t say that one of my favourite parts of Crondon is the food…10/10 - always. So if you’re a big foodie, and a top-notch meal is a priority for you, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

The beams… The people… The food… Sounds good, right?

GOSFIELD HALL

Gosfield used to be a Royal Palace, so if that doesn’t sum up what this venue has to offer, I don’t know what will! This stunning venue has acres of views to witness, from wild fields to manicured hedges, and not forgetting Gosfield lake at the bottom of the hill.

When you step inside Gosfield you will feel like royalty; it’s grand and vintage architecture is jaw dropping and the chandeliers dreamy - you really will relive your childhood wedding dream.

The grand doors… The library… The clock tower… How does that sound?

GREAT LODGE

Italian Vineyard but in Essex?

Great lodge, set in the beautiful countryside of Great Bardfield, is just simply beautiful, and one of our favourite venues to shoot at.

Honestly there is so much to say about this venue, I don’t know where to start. If you are looking for a more ‘DIY’ wedding but with an organised structure with Rebecca to guide you, this is the place. The choice of your ceremony inside or out are both equally as stunning, and the rest of the grounds are to die for. You also can’t beat having a wedding photo with some Alpacas.

The driveway… The barn… The swing… Doesn’t seem real does it?

MULBERRY HOUSE

A Georgian country house, with all the space you could dream of. We particularly fell in love when we first photographed by the lake, and discovered the gorgeous black swans.

The staff here are brilliant and will truly look after you, making sure your day runs smoothly from prep to carriages. They also look after us as suppliers, which is always a huge bonus (the belly pork won me over first time around)!

Mulberry is a stylish, tranquil and simply beautiful place to tie the knot.

The bridge… The swans… The outdoor ceremonies… Shall we go on?

AND THAT’S A WRAP…
